Space Light Matter by Carlo Santoro – Purpose of the research is to be able to lay the groundwork for an individual or group of individuals to further develop their cognitive self-consciousness to a point where they come to restructure the socially shared meanings of Space, Light and Matter. From a methodological point of view, stimuli generated with the support of automatic compositional procedures are used to assess possible “failing constructs” conceived by individuals during their aesthetic experience of interaction.
Eventualist Architecture is the result of the research on methods and themes in contemporary architecture by Claudio Greco and Carlo Santoro. The conceptual framework reflects the Eventualist Theory in Psychology of Art by Sergio Lombardo and develops the compositional approach of the school founded by Vittorio De Feo at the Univestity of Rome TorVergata. The theory is still in the process of systematization, while the first practical applications have already begun.

Beijing, The New City is a research started in 2005 by Claudio Greco and Carlo Santoro that analyzes and records the architectures and recent urban developments inBeijing. The book Beijing, The New City (Skira’ 2008), the Lotus International magazine’s editorial (no.141, 2010) and the conferences on the post-Olympic period have been significant steps of this research. At present the research focuses on Beijing’s Satellite Cities and provides the theoretical framework for various mixed-use master-plans in Chaoyang, Fengtai and Shijingshan Districts being designed by Carlo Santoro as associate of Zeidler Partnership Architects (Canada). …more
